Just pure illusions and delusions...

I stayed home on thurs, fri and sat afternoon so i could go out on sat night to stayover at Jal's place. After much whining, my mum finally let me go (she doesnt like me staying over at people's places or going out too late night. One of the many non-perks of being an only child). Told her i wanted to watch the 3rd placing for the world cup (and no i dint lie, i really did watch it!). Haha but of course i dint tell her what i was planning to do before 3am ;)

I met Jal and Kavitha at Dhoby Gaut station after which we proceeded down to Clark Quay to Gotham Penthouse. I loved the place. Its much bigger than any other club I’ve been too and the place dint seem all that sleazy. I dint know that there was free flow until 1am (ok fine im stupid but don’t blame me its only my 3rd time clubbing and my 1st time going clubbing without a party invitation). Had 3 drinks all of which Kav selected as I have NOOOOOOOOO idea whats nice and whats not. We sat down and talked for a while before heading down to the dance floor at 1130. Had a great time =) Its fun letting loose and dancing really. Especially when the place hadn’t got all that smokey yet. We left the place at 1220am and headed down to Cheekys for a friend’s birthday party. In the end dint even see Aarthi. But saw some people I hadn’t seen in ages. Like my sec one crush who couldn’t recognize me! Haha. The songs at Cheeky’s were much better but it was just overpacked and wayyyyyy too smokey. The place seemed more sleazier. There were also an excess of guys and not enough place to dance. We were supposed to leave to Jal’s place at 1am but unfortunately we only managed to take a taxi back at 2am :X haha. Cant blame us as it was sooooo fun dancing and we don’t get to go clubbing all the time. I so cant wait to move into hostel so I can officially go clubbing without sneaking out and stuff =P

On Monday after sleeping at 530am due to the world cup finals I got an early morning call at 715am from the clerk at my primary school. They needed a relief teacher and so I agreed although I was seriously deprived of sleep for the past 2 nights. Took two p4 classes for math. Taught them decimals. After that I headed down to city hall to meet Elizabeth, Rosh and Eileen to go shopping. Saw 4 things I wanted:

1) A roxy handbag (ok don’t ask me why but I seem to have a thing for roxy handbags) However as it looked quite similar to one I had with me, I decided against buying it.
2) A purple racerback tee from m]phosis. Nice nice =)
3) A blue puma jacket. It was so so so so damn nice. But then the puma logo was like ironed on + the material wasn’t really thick. Havent decided whether I’d buy it yet.
4) A nice water bottle! But it was 29 bucks. The design was really really nice. But im going to check Queensway out to see whether I can get it there cheaper.

And so I realize I seem to have a thing for branded stuff. But no im not obsessed with buying branded stuff. Im not ashamed to say that I have many 6 dollar tees from unknown shops too. To me, as long as the thing looks good, I don’t care whether its branded or not. Plus sometimes these cheap shops also sell stuff of good material too. Trust me as I have a 6 dollar top that has lasted me for the past 5 years. Haha..

Today I went to relief teach again. It was a last minute thing- quite at least. The teacher only contacted me at 11pm last night. I thought two p3 classes capacity and volume, a p3 class how to write a composition and a p5 class social studies. I was quite scared at the thought of teaching them as I wasn’t even sure what they were supposed to know and stuff. I had to like read the textbook and teach at the same time. Something that aint too easy. But oh well it went well =)

Primary school kids can be real cute. Yesterday one girl gave me a rose made out of blue metallic wire. Today 2 girls gave me 2 drawings. Sweet =) Tomorrow I’ll be teaching p5 classes English, math and science. Hopefully all goes well =) After that I’d be having a food trip to paya lebar/ geylang with my jc classmates. Cant wait! The food there rocks! =)
